WEEK OF FEB. 24-28

PROJECT KINDNESS - PINK WEEK!
The theme for this year's Pink Week is "Be someone's hero" and we will be focusing on standing up instead of standing by...we will also be completing several different activities throughout the week!

Mon. Feb. 24

• Welcome back! I hope everyone's break has been great 😀
• Brightwater plant research project is OVERDUE - please hand in ASAP if not done
• Strategy review will begin (and continue all week and next) to prepare for math "Number Operation" evaluation
• Quizzes to be finished by March 5
• Evaluation March 10
• Reading of chapter 14 of "L'assassin Impossible"
• Mini review & vocabulary activity to hand in after reading
• Work periods for Writer's Workshop & Daily Three reading projects throughout the week
• WW pieces (1 French, 1 English) due Feb. 28
• Daily 3 project due Mar. 2

Tues. Feb. 25

• Synopsis and plan for "Let's Talk About Water" film need to be shared
• Assembly - Blues in the school
• 1:00pm - 2:00pm in the gym
• All are welcome!
• Pink week - t-shirt activity needs to be completed

Wed. Feb. 26

• Ski Trip to Table Mountain
• Students must be at school at 7:00am, meet in the gym; busses departing at 7:15am
• Please wear appropriate gear - jacket, ski pants, hat, mitts, goggles, layers
• Bring lunch & snacks and/or money for the cafeteria
• Any students who are not participating will be hosted in Mme. Mcpherson's classroom and should report there for attendance after the regular morning bell
• Classroom will be locked so any work needs to be grabbed on Tuesday
• Work on: math, Writer's Workshop, Daily 3 reading projects, overdue homework

Thurs. Feb. 27

• Mme away in am at PD
• Pink Week activities
• PINK DAY - please wear any and all pink items!
• Assembly - 12:45pm - 1:30pm
• Spread kindness activity

Fri. Feb. 28

• Pink Week activity - Spread kindness activity
• Bienêtre - SMART goals check-in and short-term goal commitment due at the end of the period
• Reading chapter 10 of "The Marrow Thieves"
• Continuing work on character profile and drawing
• Work period for careers "Vacation Project"
