A little about me

Bonjour!

I wanted to share a little about me...

I was born and grew up in Hamilton, ON. I took French Immersion all through school, even though at times I resisted my Mom's insistance ;) (it clearly paid off eventually!). Once I finished high school, I went to McMaster University to study Biology & Pharmacology. I was very lucky to get lots of small classes and experience working in labs around the country in this program...but I had another passion.

In 2007, I was admitted to teacher's college at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay where I began to pursue my career in teaching. I was certified as in High School Biology & Chemistry, grade 7/8 education and soon a minor in Social Studies.

I began my teaching career in Red Lake, ON where I had moved with my husband (he grew up there, it's a beautiful town!) and our dog, Darwin, before we were married in Maui in 2008. I taught just about every subject from Home Ec, Fashion, Science, History, Resource, Yearbook (photography) and Phys Ed. It was a whirlwind time but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything!

In 2013, our little family decided that we were ready for a change and moved to Saskatoon. I quickly joined the SPSD, worked as a sub for a year and then was lucky enough to earn a position at École Victoria School in 2014. It has been a wonderful pleasure to teach and live in the vibrant Broadway community and every new year I'm excited to spend my time with the amazing students at EVS!
